Where You Can Find More Information

Energy Services Coalition (ESC) - This is a national non-profit public-private organization comprised of individual members from state energy offices, facility managers, employees of energy services companies (ESCO's), vendors, suppliers, and consulting engineers. You can find sample documents, templates, and other resources for administering energy performance contracts on their website.

National Association of Energy Services Companies (NAESCO) - This is a national trade association comprised of member companies consisting of energy services companies (ESCO's), distributors, engineering, consulting, and financial companies.
Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) - This group began under an initiative of the US Department of Energy as the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) in order to gain an international consensus on best practices for measurement and verification. It now goes by its present title as a non-profit corporation which maintains the set of best practices still using the name IPMVP.
Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) - This is professional society composed of individual members from the field of energy management whose purpose is to promote the scientific and educational interests of those engaged in the energy industry. AEE has established the "Certified Measurement & Verification Professional" (CMVP) program in an effort to raise the professional standards and improve the practice of those engaged in measurement & verification.
Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) - This is a program of the US Department of Energy (DOE) that provides information resources for federal energy managers including information on energy performance contracting (see FEMP M&V Guidelines Version 3.0 ).
State Initiatives - Many states have their own program or resources for information on energy performance contracting. Each of these states have their own designated lead agency contact, so you may have to do a little searching to find the right office.
